Graywater overflow trench

Digging the trench for the graywater overflow out to the pond. The graywater is filtered and oxygenated through the plant roots an peat moss filter - the overflow of filtered water goes out the front face and into a all trench. It's time to take the trench all the way down to the pond - this should stop the trench from filling with water when it rains which is preventing the planters from draining.

We ran into some rocks that appeared to have been put there on purpose. The rocks were all relatively flat and square and they were laid side by side. Mixed in with the rocks were a couple of bricks.
