We purchased our solar well pump set up from Sunshine Works; everything except the float switch, which we ordered through Grainger. There were excellent wiring instructions provided. I have mapped out the wire connections which were used for our particular set up.
We opted for a daytime only well pump set up. The pump will come on when there is enough sunlight and then shut off when the cistern is filled. The linear current booster is used to help regulate the voltage supplied to the pump and to help allow the pump to run in lower light conditions.
We are using a 12 volt pump so this set up is for 12 volts only. With a few changes to the wiring we could have a 24 volt set up. The gray wire depicted on the linear current booster is actually a white wire; the small orange, purple, black, and red wires are left disconnected.
