Of course when we leave Florida it's raining. We hope to put the rain behind us, and for most of the drive it appears we have succeeded in escaping the rain. Then, about a half an hour from the property the clouds arrive, they move down from the North and track our easterly direction.
Then, just before we get to the last few turns before the property, the sky is clear and looks like we may have a some time to explore.
So we park and look around, looks clear, no rain clouds. We open the doors and it immediately begins pouring down rain. We are parked on a clay side road and I'm worried we might get stuck. So we get out and assess the situation. The rain seems to be letting up and it's somewhat sunny out, so we decide to do a little exploring.
Right about this time, we realize just how muddy and slippery the clay road beneath our feet is getting. We race back to the car and narrowly get the car off the clay road without ending up in the drainage ditch.

Guess we'll have to try this again next week.
